If you are interested in joining our research group as a PhD candidate you must reach out before submitting your graduate application to Texas A&M University. No requests for research or teaching assistantships will be considered from anyone who has been admitted to the program without prior contact. Good students apply to advisors; poor students apply to programs. Moreover, when writing your opening e-mail please use “SpQm8%” as the subject.
Postdoc funding is, in general, extremely limited. Nevertheless, if you have direct experience in the development and application of high-order methods on unstructured grids it may still be worth reaching out; if nothing else I may be able to point you in the direction of colleagues who currently do have funding. In your e-mail please do include your desired start-date and duration. This helps to align expectations.
